This traditional house is a hidden gem in the old part of the village. Situated on a double plot of land, the location is tranquil. It gives nothing away until you open the door and step inside.
Leading from the entrance hallway is a staircase with a toilet and shower underneath – very useful following those trips to the beach.
The adjacent dining room and large “makronaria” living room (featuring high ceiling and a traditional fireplace) each open onto a pretty courtyard which has a guest studio on one side. A further studio beyond is currently used as an office. Each has air conditioning and a shower and toilet.
Upstairs in the main house there is a large bedroom with a high ceiling and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. A short corridor with a wall of built-in cupboards leads from the bedroom to the main bathroom and a further balcony, with ample space to sit and enjoy the views of the beautiful rear garden. There is a paved area with four raised beds near the kitchen door which offer easy access to home grown vegetables and herbs and an orange tree outside the door.
Episkopi is a lovely, thriving village perfectly placed in the south of the island, close to the Paphos-Limassol highway and the roads leading to and from from the mountains.
Food shopping is a pleasure, and amongst other amenities are a family doctor, a dentist, a veterinary surgeon and a pharmacy.
The beach, which is less than 5 minutes drive away, lies below the Curium archaeology site with its amphitheatre and wonderful mosaics.
As well as being a mere 5 minutes from the sea, it is just 15 minutes drive from the bustling city of Limassol and 40 minutes from Paphos international airport and 50-60 minutes to Larnaca Airport.
